Tombstone Bullies

Tombstone Bullies

Gabriel Siklosi and Michael T. Notarthomas are Tombstone Bullies, Austin’s most original performing and songwriting team. Their approach ranges from 60’s and revivalist mod and same era r&b to modern roots rock and singer songwriter styles reminiscent of the Beatles, Tom Petty, Jude Cole and Johnny Cash. They are known for excellent songwriting, both musically and lyrically, Siklosi’s ripping lead slide guitar playing and Notarthomas’s extended vocal range. Siklosi is a veteran of the Cleveland, Ohio blues, rock and punk scenes and is best known for her previous touring group Five Believers. Notarthomas is known for his involvement in the Syracuse, NY songwriting network as well as his involvement with the experimental texture sounds trio RedShift.

Tombstone Bullies currently play many of Austin’s staple venues as well as surrounding areas clubs and festivals, both as a duo and with a full band format.

Stop the Truck

Whether it’s western swing, a Texas waltz, or a kick-ass rockin’ rodeo anthem,
Stop The Truck fills the bill for any event.

Songwriters and featured vocalists Moe Monsarrat and Steve Carter combine masterful vocals and lyrics with one of the tightest rhythm sections around.

With long-time rhythm team Alan Moe Monsarrat and Miguel Unk Pankratz on bass & drums locked with Steve Carter’s rock solid rhythm guitar and coupled with the magnificent guitar leads of Special Ed Ferguson ands Pat McCann, it adds up to a show rarely rivalled.

Mark Campbell

Mark Campbell

Known as the “One Man Acoustic Rock and Roll Show” in his hometown of Houston for many years, in an ongoing high-output performance that was highly requested. Mach’s shows are much more varied and low- key listenable in a wider range, eclectic and in step with the environment.

In contrast to his work with Soulshaker, Mach’s solo work is more “Americana,” or “Englaterra,” yet still patently his own.

  • 1994: More Luck than a Cartoon Cat
  • 1997: Mark Campbell / Soulshaker (CD)
  • 2004: Straight Ahead Human ( Soulshaker)

Shawn Nelson

Texas singer-songwriter Shawn Nelson takes the music he creates beyond its honky-tonk core to offer songs you can dance to that also prompt the listener to think and feel. It’s the natural result of being inspired by as well as meeting and spending time with such Lone Star State songwriting legends as Robert Earl Keen and Guy Clark as well as elements from his life, unique background and musical journey.
